The national debt is about 8.8 trillion dollars. There are about 300 million people in the U.S. If we can get 50 million of them to buy a $5 lottery ticket to win $50 million, and hold the lottery on a monthly basis, while keeping the deficit from getting any bigger we could pay off that debt in 3,667 years.

The national debt means nothing as long as the Federal Reserve System is in place. Our money, like that of other countries, is based upon…..NOTHING! The US Treasury under the Federal Reserve can print as much as they want and ship trillions overseas to pay the debts (mostly to China and the Middle East). Clinton did this in order to reduce the “national debt” because he wanted to look good; Bush, thus far has refrained from it.
